Brother Bhu started the proceedings from the parking lot end....well there was only one end to start with....and he was kind of stuggling to find his line and length....but we did have a few good ones but realistically the bowling wasn't that great initially with the leg side wides and the fielding wasn't helping the bowlers as well. NCSU got off to a flying start but mostly from our wides and misfields. and in a flash by the end of the 8th over NCSU were at a score of 83 runs for the loss of no wickets. In came the bowling change with Andy and he started bowling his usual accurate line and length which came as a relief after the bowlers being hit around and throwing their balls around for wides. Andy kept on a persistent line and eventually got a nick of the舲 outside edge of one of the openers for NCSU, swapnil, who apparently has scored two centuries this season already. so we all were hoping to get him out real quick and Andy provided us with just that of course teamed up with a nice catch from myself which was almost going in the direction of between first and second slip. That teamwork from Andy and myself inspired the whole team and we suddenly started fielding and bowling extremely well...and by the time we realised....NCSU were down from 83 to no loss to a stooping 92/7 and all credit to Andy and the fielders with of course not to forget Miraj also supporting with his renewed form. But again for some reason we became complacent and started bowling the wayward bowling again and by the end of the innings we had bogged down NCSU to a mere 124 runs. It was a great feat for RCC and we surely shud be proud of it.舲 舲 In came RCC to bat with a li'l bit of fear in the camp of facing the home team on the dreadful and funny characteristics of the Flix pitch. Manish and Fahad started the proceedings for us and unfortunately did not last long. and we lost both of them for no runs on the board....yes RCC was 0/2. Manish mistimed a shot in the air and was caught at wide short long off and in went Shekhar to try and hold up the guard for RCC and was unlucky to be given out LBW, which was controversial (nothing new in MACC) first ball. Next to go in was Samay, the stalwart for RCC and Mr. Dependable. On the other end in succession we lost Fahad who moved away from the wickets to hit a flamboyant shot but thanks to the Flix pitch notoriousness the ball kept low and cleaned him up. Satbir again made the decision to send me in that moment of crisis and asked me to just play my natural game and do what i did best.....i was kind of worried as i had never ever played in my life on a舲 Flix pitch before and i had seen it play up during our fielding session....but i just kept my cool and didn't let the whole big deal of Flix pitch get onto my head and kept talking to myself and started taking it over by over....and supported Samay, who at the other end was slowly but surely piling up runs for RCC. both of us hung in there for about a 50 run odd partnership also during which we had a 45 minute controversy over a LBW decision given against Samay who stood his ground and had the officials at MACC involved and eventually got the decision turned around in RCC's favor and he was given not out....but not to forget THAT 45 MIN BREAK BROKE MY CONCENTRATION AND DIDN'T LET ME SCORE MY CENTURY.....uggggghhhh....hahahahaha....but yeah both of us went back in unfortunately the hunger got onto me i started having stomach cramps which made me hit a irrational shot and i got out to a deep short long on catch. but by then we were close to the target and舲 in went Satbir to replace me and fortunately he hadn't been to Big Tony the previous night and so his feet weren't sore and he was displaying some amazing shots along with Samay keeping the consistent runs and boundaries too. In no time Samay reached his 50...very well deserved....and Paaji also made a quick fire 30 runs and both of them got RCC home safely and in no time. 舲 舲 It was a very very well deserved and much needed win for RCC and i am sure it must've done a great deal of morale boosting for the whole team and especially the bowlers and hopefully we can look back at this game whenever we are in crisis or in a bad fielding/bowling moment and gather ourselves and change it all over.舲 舲 Guys inspite of the win we all do know that hadn't Andy bowled that awesome spell we wud've been facing a much higher total and so we need to still keep working on our bowling and go full guns at it....guys practice as much as you can....and do not experiment anything in practice too....until you have got your basic line and length...once u've perfected that...or nearly perfected that then you would want to go and experiment stuff. The scorecard says it all for our bowling with regards to the extra's section....out of the 124 runs that NCSU reached, 21 were from wides and 2 from舲 No Balls. a staggering 23 extra runs people. imagine this....it wud've舲 just been 101 runs for NCSU and almost 4 overs less bowling for RCC. Seems like we like to work extra and especially in the heat that we are facing now eh!!!舲 舲 Anyways guys all in all it was a great day at the office and hope we all take inspiration from this keep up the great work and work extra hard and build more discipline in our bowling and fielding department so that we can be even more stronger and eventually impossible to beat by any team. we need to maintain our aura of a awesome team and so guys we need to work hard to keep that up.舲 舲 Hope you all have a great week ahead and hope we see a even bigger turnout at practice this friday. Stay cool in the scorching heat that raleigh is facing peeps and work less and drink more chilled beer and get ready for the toughie coming up against BCC this saturday!!!舲 舲 And yeah for those who haven't watched the sequel to Sarkar....go and watch it....its not as gripping as Sarkar but not bad too...good twist at the end....Sarkar Raj. Had fun with you guys last night at the movies....Samay hope you had a safe trip to G'Boro and have a safe flight back home tomorrow morning!!! Faraz we missed u man...not the lovey dovey way....u bloody porn freak....Fahad told us about what u do all day in front of the TV when u're at home....u horny pig!!!! Hhahahaha...joking bro...but hope to see u soon back in action this friday man. Good times RCC!!!舲 }
